Family law proceedings, including divorce cases, fall outside the jurisdiction of the Las Vegas Municipal Court. Instead, these cases are handled by the Family Division of the Eighth Judicial District Court. Accordingly, divorce cases arising in Las Vegas are handled by this District Court.

When a marriage is legally dissolved, the records of the proceedings are preserved and made available for public perusal, except for confidential records.

While online searches offer ease and convenience, in-person searches are more hands-on, and inquirers may find records not available online.
